Attleboro Emblem Club #58
The Emblem club is a membership of women formed to associate ourselves to respect and honor the American Flag, patriotism, fellowship and to involve ourselves in Community Service. It is our proud honor to assist in joint projects with the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. Our members consider it a great service to offer our assistance and talents to improve the quality of life in the communities in which we reside. An emblem club member is recognized as an auxiliary of an Elks Lodge. The Emblem club is an independent organization, the Elks Lodge has no jurisdiction in the formation, rules or regulations of the Emblem Club. However we respect and honor the rules of the Elks organization and cooperation between the Elks and the Emblem is most desirable in the interest of both organizations to achieve the common goals we share with each other.
Membership:
An individual must be a citizen of the United States of America and at least 18 years old. A prospective member must be sponsored by an Emblem Club member and by a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the United States of America. Duties of our members require attendance at all meetings in which our members are invited to participate in debate and decision making. Duties also extend to help raise funds for various charitable organizations through a variety of means from craft shows to raffles to bake sales and to serve and volunteer our time to help the Elks organization with their community projects. Loyalty to the Emblem Club is to support the clubs projects, participate in charitable endeavors, bear true allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and become involved in the fellowship. There is an important place for each member in the Emblem Club. Any member may serve on any committee and may be elected to office.
Emblem Club Meetings
Emblem Club meetings are the 1st Monday of every month at the Attleboro Lodge of Elks (except for the months of July and August). All meetings must be opened and closed in form as prescribed by the Ritual and Supreme Emblem Club. The Attleboro Elks have generously granted the use of the hall for our meetings. The Emblem Club reciprocates by strict adherence to the privileges allowed. Any emblem member attending a meeting or social event within the Elks Lodge must be governed by and obey the House Rules of the Elks Lodge.
